Early Detection is your best protection against breast cancer

Mammography

Your most effective new ally in the battle against breast cancer is Digital Mammography. Computers and specially built digital detectors are used to create an image that can be seen on a high-resolution computer display. This results in:

  • Better visibility at the skin line
  • Greater image flexibility
  • Shorter exam times
  • More confidence in the results

All clothing above the waist is removed and you will be given a gown. Do not use any deodorant, powder, perfume, creams or lotions on your under arm or breast area because they leave a residue that may be picked up on the x-ray and possibly interfere with the results.

Breast Ultrasound

Breast ultrasound is the use of medical ultrasonography to perform imaging of the breast. It can be considered either a diagnostic or a screening procedure. It may be used either with or without a mammogram.
